Special Agent in Charge Gerard P. McAleer
Opens 4th Annual Drug Summit

19 May--GERARD P. MCALEER, the Special Agent in Charge of the DEA New Jersey Division delivered the opening remarks at the 4th Annual Drug Summit at Rutgers University. The annual event is hosted by DEA New Jersey Division, Rutgers University, Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, NCADD of Middlesex County, Inc., and New Jersey Division of Addiction Services.

Approximately 300 attendees participated in the event. Attendees consisted of nurses, teachers, campus security, health educators, municipal officials, child study teams, treatment providers, school administrators, student assistance counselors, and law enforcement professionals. SAC McAleer stated “the mission is to provide education and intelligence to all of our partners so we all can better prepare and learn from each other. The Drug Summit was an all day event with guest speakers providing workshops on methamphetamine, prescription drugs, and drug courts.
