Deputy Secretary General of China National Narcotics Control Commission Yang Fengrui Meets With DEA Special Agent in Charge John P. Gilbride

FEB 22 -- On February 3, 2007 SAC John P. Gilbride met with Mr. Yang Fengrui, Deputy Secretary General of China National Narcotics Control Commission (NNCC) in New York City to acknowledge the collaboration between the NNCC and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Mr. Yang Fengrui was accompanied by a delegation of Chinese law enforcement and police liaison officers from the Chinese Embassy. Mr. Fengrui’s visit to New York was followed by a trip to Washington DC to attend a dinner hosted by DEA Administrator Karen Tandy.

SAC Gilbride stated that “the effort of the China National Narcotics Control Commission to weed out criminal organizations within China continues the tradition of cooperation and teamwork with international law enforcement that is critical to successfully dismantling large and sophisticated drug trafficking organizations.”
