Tim Shea, DEA’s Acting Administrator, visited the DEA office in San Diego on October 15.  His visit was the second since becoming the Acting Administrator and included operational briefings with Special Agent in Charge John Callery and the other division leadership.  He also participated in a brief with the Tunnel Task Force.  The San Diego Division’s proximity to the U.S.-Mexico border makes the issue of cross-border drug tunnels a unique component of their mission.  Shea’s final stop on this trip was an orientation with the San Diego Division Special Response Team.
