Guilty Plea For Methamphetamine Trafficking
BOSTON - Michael J. Ferguson, Special Agent-in-Charge of the DEA’s New England Division, Acting United States Attorney William D. Weinreb announced that Peter Lobo, 54, of Fairhaven, pled guilty today to one count of distributing methamphetamine before U.S. District Court Judge Denise J.Casper, who scheduled sentencing for Oct. 4, 2017.
In late 2016, an undercover agent posing as a Maine methamphetamine dealer met with Lobo, and on December 12, 2016, Lobo distributed a half pound sample of methamphetamine to the agent. Two days later, the agent paid Lobo $4,000 for the half pound, and Lobo sold an additional four pounds of methamphetamine to the agent. A subsequent drug analysis determined that the substance consisted of 1,777 grams of 99% pure d-methamphetamine hydrochloride, also known as “Ice.”
