Niagara Falls man pleads guilty to drug and gun charges
BUFFALO, N.Y. – Special Agent in Charge Ray Donovan of the United States Drug Enforcement Administration's New York Division and U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. of the Western District of New York announced that Milton Williams, Jr., 35, of Niagara Falls, N.Y., pleaded guilty,before U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking activity. The charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of life, and a $1,000,000 fine.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Laura A. Higgins, who is handling the case, stated that on Dec. 12, 2017, law enforcement officers executed a New York State search warrant at the defendant’s residence at 1364 Pierce Ave. in Niagara Falls. Officers recovered three loaded firearms and additional assorted rounds of ammunition. In addition, officers recovered marijuana and a large quantity of cocaine.
Today’s plea is the result of an investigation by the Niagara Falls Police Department and the DEA's Buffalo Resident Office.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 24, 2019, before Judge Wolford.
