DEA Philadelphia Field Division announces 41,232 pounds of prescription drugs collected during October 24th Take-Back Event
PHILADELPHIA -- Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Jonathan A. Wilson of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Philadelphia Field Division announced today that 41,232 pounds of prescription drugs were collected across Pennsylvania and Delaware by the DEA and its partners during the Prescription Drug Take-Back Day event on October 24, 2020.
A specific breakdown of amounts collected by regions across Pennsylvania, where a total of 36,949 pounds was collected, and Delaware, where a total of 4,283 pounds was collected, is listed below:
Allentown, PA: 273 lbs.
Dover, DE: 2,843 lbs.
Harrisburg, PA: 4,259 lbs.
Philadelphia, PA: 26,164 lbs.
Pittsburgh, PA: 10,726 lbs.
Scranton, PA: 1,244 lbs.
Wilmington, DE: 1,440 lbs.
Amounts collected by the counties across the Philadelphia region, which are totaled above, are listed as follows:
Bucks County: 14,362 lbs.
Chester County: 959 lbs.
Delaware County: 294 lbs.
Montgomery County: 10,259 lbs.
Philadelphia County: 289 lbs.
