St. Louis Man Pleas Guilty of Meth Distribution
ST. LOUIS – U.S. District Court Judge John A. Ross accepted a plea of guilty today from Adam Jones of St. Louis. Sentencing is scheduled for April 12, 2022.
According to the plea agreement, about July 15, 2020, Jones possessed more than five grams of methamphetamine and that at the time Jones intended to distribute some or all of the methamphetamine to another person.
Members of the St. Charles County Regional Drug Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration investigated, conducting a total of five undercover purchases of methamphetamine from Jones beginning in May 2020. Investigators successfully introduced an undercover detective to Jones, who made the purchases of methamphetamine from Jones over an approximately two-month period between May and July of 2020. In addition, on July 15, 2020, Jones’ car was stopped by law enforcement and Jones was in possession of approximately one ounce of methamphetamine.
