Three Illinois Residents Charged for Multiple Drug Trafficking Offenses
Joint DEA-Rockford Police Department Narcotics Investigation Results in Seizure of Fentanyl, Cocaine and Cannabis, along with $380,000 and Three Vehicles
ROCKFORD, Ill. - Todd C. Smith, Assistant Special Agent in Charge at U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration-Chicago Division, and Rockford, Illinois Police Department Chief Carla Redd announced that on June 22, 2022, members of the DEA-Chicago Division Rockford Resident Office, alongside members of the Rockford Police Narcotics Unit and assisted by the State Line Area Narcotics Team and the Rockford Police Gang Unit, executed five search warrants at residences throughout Rockford.
During the execution of the search warrants, officers were able to locate and recover approximately one kilogram of fentanyl, approximately one kilogram of cocaine and approximately 2,498 grams of cannabis, along with over $380,000 and three vehicles. Three individuals were charged, taken into custody and lodged in the County Jail.
After a review of the facts of the case, the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office authorized the charges listed below:

The charges are merely accusations and all individuals are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
