DEA Rocky Mountain Field Division Executes Search Warrant on Known Tren de Aragua Gang Location in Metro Denver
DENVER – The Drug Enforcement Administration’s Rocky Mountain Field Division (RMFD) – in conjunction with federal and local partners – executed a federal search warrant on 6600 Federal Boulevard in Adams County, Colorado just before 5 a.m. MT today. Based on months-long investigative work, it was determined this makeshift nightclub contained numerous individuals associated and connected with the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA).
“DEA’s Rocky Mountain Field Division has been investigating TdA drug trafficking since last summer, and today’s successful operation shows that the men and women of DEA will not rest until our communities are safe from this gang and the drugs they peddle,” said DEA RMFD Special Agent in Charge Jonathan Pullen.
The operation involved more than 100 local and federal law enforcement personnel. DEA agents seized drugs – including cocaine, crack cocaine, and pink cocaine – known on the street as “tusi.” Several weapons were seized on premises, as well as a large amount of US currency.
A total of 49 individuals were inside the location at the time the warrant was executed. ICE determined at least 41 were in the United States illegally.
“DEA’s global mission is to keep the nation safe from the scourge of drug trafficking, and we will fight this battle every day on behalf of the people of Colorado and our country,” Pullen stated.
DEA received support in this operation from ATF, HSI, ICE, and the United States Attorney’s Office, District of Colorado. DEA’s investigation is ongoing.
