Indiana Man Sentenced to Over 8 Years for Meth Trafficking
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Alfred Cooke, Assistant Special Agent in Charge of U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration-Merrillville, Indiana, and Acting U.S. Attorney Tina L. Nommay for the Northern District of Indiana announced that Jalen Pearson, 31, of South Bend, Indiana, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Damon R. Leichty after pleading guilty to distributing five or more grams of methamphetamine.
Pearson was sentenced to 97 months in prison followed by four years of supervised release.
According to documents in the case, in June 2023, Pearson distributed approximately three pounds of a high purity of methamphetamine for nearly $7,000.
This case was investigated by the DEA including the DEA North Central Laboratory with assistance from the Indiana State Police and the Mishawaka Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Katelan McKenzie Doyle.
