DEA’s Acting Administrator Timothy Shea visited the border between the U.S. and Mexico September 14, at a location near El Paso, Texas. Shea’s visit allowed him to talk with DEA’s federal, state, and local partners about the joint mission to deter drug trafficking at the Southwest border as well as the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on operations. On September 15, Acting Administrator Shea met with the U.S. Attorney for New Mexico, conducted a round-table meeting with law enforcement representatives working in the El Paso area and visited to DEA’s El Paso Intelligence Center.
