DEA represented at Mall of America's "Government on Display" exposition
MINNEAPOLIS – Agents and staff from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Minneapolis District Office participated in the 21st annual Government on Display Exposition held at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, on January 25. One of 23 agencies represented, the event drew approximately 7,000 people to the booths located inside the largest mall in the United States.
DEA staff answered questions about drug trends and careers and handed out trinkets including pencils, bracelets, Frisbees, stress balls, lanyards and carabineers. The 12 hour event gave adults and children a chance to interact with government entities, have questions answered and learn more about the day-to-day operations of various local, state and federal agencies.
In addition to the exposition, 35 individuals were naturalized during an afternoon event held in the rotunda part of the mall.
