Sonoma County Methamphetamine Organization Dismantled
More than 140 Pounds of Meth Seized and Four Arrested
SANTA ROSA, Calif. – The DEA Santa Rosa Resident Office, Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes and Narcotics Unit and the Marin County Sheriff's Office, Specialized Investigative Unit, concluded a 16-month long investigation into a drug trafficking organization allegedly distributing large amounts of methamphetamine in the region. During the course of the case law enforcement seized approximately 140 lbs. of methamphetamine destined for the Santa Rosa area believed to be supplied by traffickers from Southern California and approximately $40,000 in U.S. Currency.
Beginning last night and throughout today law enforcement served search and arrest warrants at residences associated with the organization in Cloverdale and Santa Rosa. As result of the enforcement operation law enforcement seized additional methamphetamine and arrested the following individuals: Fernando Dias, 22, of Cloverdale; Samuel Cholula, 21, of Cloverdale; Christian Torres, 21, of Santa Rosa; and Jesus Nunez-Camacho Jr., 33, of Santa Rosa. All individuals arrested will be referred to the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office for charging.
A charge in a crime is merely an accusation and the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
