DEA New Orleans Accepting Applications for Citizens Academy
Residents and business owners in Greater New Orleans can apply for the Citizens Academy through Sept. 25
NEW ORLEANS -- Residents of Greater New Orleans can now apply for the DEA's 2023 Citizens Academy.
The DEA Citizens Academy gives engaged citizens an in-depth look at the DEA mission through a series of weekly classes over a four-week period. During this time, DEA insiders hope to enhance participant knowledge of DEA's daily operations. The program also offers an in-depth look at the challenges DEA faces daily. By participating in the program, the hope is that citizens become better equipped to contribute to the safety and well-being of our communities.
The DEA New Orleans Citizens Academy begins Sept. 26 and occurs every Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. through Oct. 17.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, able to pass a background check with no misdemeanor arrests within the last year.
