Maltz Challenge At Training Center Of Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos
DENVER - The DEA Denver Field Division held the annual Maltz Challenge at the new Denver Broncos Dove Valley practice facility. The intense physical challenge was held to honor the nation’s fallen heroes. The Division was joined by a large contingent of community and employee volunteers including Assistant Special Agent in (ASAC) Kevin Merrill, special agent Keith Billiot, specialist Brandy Payne and led by special agent Todd Gregory.
ASAC Kevin Merrill, agents Todd Gregory and Keith Billiot addressed the participants, volunteers, supporters, and families of the fallen, followed by a moment of silence and the National Anthem. The families were very appreciative and honored to be a part of this year’s Challenge hosted by the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos for another consecutive year.
The Denver Division honored Sgt 1st Class Liam J. Nevins of the 19th Special Forces (Airborne) at Fort Carson, CO. Sgt. Nevins died September 21, 2015 of wounds received from small arms fire in Paktika Province, Afghanistan.
