Caldwell Man Sentenced To Federal Prison For Drug Trafficking
BOISE, ID. -- - Eugenio-Arreola-Villa, 39, of Caldwell, Idaho, was sentenced today to 70 months in prison for distributing methamphetamine. U.S. District Judge Edward J. Lodge also ordered Arreola-Villa to serve five years of supervised release following his prison term and pay a $1,000 fine. Arreola-Villa pleaded guilty to the charge on May 3, 2011.
According to the plea agreement, Arreola-Villa sold or helped sell large quantities of methamphetamine in Caldwell on four occasions during the summer of 2009. He was arrested later in connection with a larger drug investigation involving 11 other defendants.
This was an Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task (OCDETF) investigation, led by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the United States Forest Service, in conjunction with the Valley County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Bureau of Land Management, Canyon County Narcotics Unit, Boise Police Department, Ada County Sheriff’s Office, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Idaho State Police, Idaho Fish and Game, and the Idaho National Guard.
The OCDETF program is a federal multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional task force that supplies supplemental federal funding to federal and state agencies involved in the identification, investigation, and prosecution of major drug trafficking organizations.
