Omaha District Office Dismantles Significant Methamphetamine Organization With Ties To Mexico

OMAHA, Neb. - On Tuesday, January 13th, 2015, DEA Omaha and their state and local counterparts arrested 12 individuals and seized approximately $8,800 in United States currency as the culmination of an 18-month investigation. Throughout the course of the investigation 12.3 pounds of methamphetamine and approximately $35,000 were seized.
The investigation targeted a California methamphetamine source of supply that was providing pound quantities of meth to the Omaha targets. The arrests were a collaborative effort between the DEA, USMS, Omaha, NE Police Department, Council Bluffs, IA Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol, Blair, NE Police Department, Douglas County, NE Sheriff's Office, Sarpy County, NE Sheriff's Office, Bellevue, NE Police Department, and the Plattsmouth, NE Police Department. This case has involved prosecutorial efforts from the Douglas County, NE Attorney's Office, the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Nebraska, and the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
