Ocala man sentenced to 10 years for conspiring to distribute cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl
OCALA, Fla. - Deandre Amaad Williams, 29 of Ocala, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for conspiring to distribute cocaine, heroin and fentanyl. Williams had pleaded guilty on July 19, 2019.
According to court documents, between January 2012 and May 2019, Williams was a member of a conspiracy that distributed hundreds of kilograms of cocaine and heroin through a network of stash houses in Marion County. Large quantities of the heroin were also laced with fentanyl.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration Gainesville Resident Office, the Ocala Police Department, the Unified Drug Enforcement Strike Team, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation. It was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.
