Meriden Crack Dealer Sentenced To More Than Five Years In Federal Prison
MERIDEN, CT. - Steven W. Derr, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement (DEA) for New England and David B. Fein, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that Trevoy Marrow, 30, of Kensington Avenue, Meriden, was sentenced today by United States District Judge Vanessa L. Bryant in Hartford to 70 months of imprisonment, followed by four years of supervised release, for distributing crack cocaine.
This matter stems from a joint investigation into narcotics trafficking that was conducted by a DEA Task Force and the Meriden Police in 2009. The investigation, which included controlled purchases of crack cocaine, cocaine and firearms, resulted in the arrest and federal prosecution of 13 individuals for drug trafficking and/or firearms violations.
According to court documents and statements made in court, on two occasions in September 2009, Marrow sold crack cocaine to an individual working with law enforcement. Also, on September 10, 2009, Marrow and co-defendant Damien Osborn sold crack to the same individual in the vicinity of New Hanover Street and Alcove Street in Meriden. The amount of crack involved in the three sales totaled approximately 22 grams.
On May 3, 2010, Marrow pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of cocaine (“crack cocaine”).
Osborn also pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of cocaine base. On July 15, 2010, he was sentenced by Judge Bryant to 60 months of imprisonment.
This matter was investigated by the New Haven DEA Task Force, which includes several local police departments, in conjunction with the Meriden Police Department.
