Crack dealer sentenced to 63 months in Buffalo, N.Y.
BUFFALO, N.Y. - Special Agent in Charge James Hunt, New York Division, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that Larry Smith, Jr., 40, of Buffalo, N.Y., who was convicted of possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of, 28 grams or more of crack cocaine, was sentenced to serve 63 months in prison by Chief U.S District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael J. Adler, who handled the case, said that between June 9 and July 27, 2017 the defendant sold crack cocaine to an individual working with the DEA on four occasions. In addition, on Oct. 5, 2017 DEA agents recovered approximately 195 grams of cocaine in Smith’s residence at 56 Burgard Place in Buffalo.
The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the DEA's Buffalo Resident Office, New York Field Division.
