Buxton Man Sentenced To Over 4 Years On Drug Conspiracy Charge
PORTLAND, Maine - John J. Arvanitis, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration for New England and United States Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II announced that Emile Pouliot,30, of Buxton, was sentenced today in United States District Court by Judge D. Brock Hornby to 51 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute oxycodone. Pouliot pled guilty to the charge on October 9, 2012.
Court records reveal that in 2010 and 2011, Pouliot participated in a conspiracy in which co-conspirators obtained oxycodone pills from numerous medical providers in Florida by fraud and shipped them to Maine where they were given to Pouliot who sold them in Maine. On April 13, 2011, agents seized a package containing over 800 oxycodone pills that had been sent from Florida to Maine by a co-conspirator.
This case was investigated by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, the Maine State Police and York County Sheriff’s Office.
