Las Vegas Man Sentenced For Role In Cocaine Conspiracy
EAST ST. LOUIS, IL - Drug Enforcement (DEA) Special Agent in Charge, James P. Shroba announced today that Christopher Thomas, 50, of Las Vegas, Nevada, was sentenced today for Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine in the United States District Court, Southern District of Illinois. Thomas had previously pled guilty to the charge on October 15, 2014.
Thomas was sentenced to 21 months in prison and three years of supervised release to follow imprisonment. Thomas was also ordered to pay a $200 fine and a $100 special assessment. In addition, a $500 forfeiture judgment was entered.
The case was investigated by agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Illinois State Police, Oklahoma State Patrol, and Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation Division. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Donald S. Boyce.
