Ventura County Task Force Shuts Down Poly-Drug Trafficking Organization
LOS ANGELES - Special Agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration and Detectives with the Ventura County Combined Agency Team just culminated a six-month long investigation into a Ventura County based, poly-drug trafficking organization. During the investigation into Toribio Aros-Osorio’s narcotics trafficking activities, investigators determined large quantities of narcotics were being smuggled into the United States from Mexico, which were ultimately being transported into Ventura County.
The individuals listed below have been criminally charged in California State court pursuant to this investigation.
As a result of the investigation, approximately 39 kilograms of cocaine, 57 pounds of methamphetamine, and three kilograms of heroin - with a combined estimated street value of nearly $7 million - were seized from members or associates of this drug trafficking organization.
The Ventura County Combined Agency Team is comprised of investigators from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Oxnard Police Department and the Ventura County District Attorney Investigator’s Office.
