Announcing A Community Town Hall Meeting – Opioid Epidemic
A 360 Panel Discussion with Treatment and Law Enforcement Professionals
WARREN, Mich - Drug overdoses are the leading cause of injury-related death here in the United States. In an effort to address the opioid epidemic, there will be a town hall meeting discussing the heroin and opioid prescription epidemic. This meeting is open to the public and the following law enforcement and treatment professionals will be in attendance: Macomb County Health (MCHD); Drug Enforcement Administration; Macomb County Office of Substance (MCOSA); U.S. Attorney’s Office; Federal Bureau of Investigation; Michigan State Police; Macomb County Prosecutors Office; Macomb County Sheriff’s Department; Warren Police Department; Families Against (FAN); Teen Student (Warren/Centerline Prevention Coalition); Recovery (Care of Southeastern Michigan) and The Arab American and Chaldean (ACC).
The town hall discussion will be held on Wednesday, January 31ST from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Van Dyke Community Auditorium located at 2299 Federal Avenue, Warren, MI 48089. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. and will be moderated by Amy Lange of Fox 2 Detroit.
