Narcotics Task Force Arrests Marijuana Dealer In Pleasantville
Marijuana and cash seized
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - A sizable amount of marijuana and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash were seized in Pleasantville Thursday following an investigation by members of a multi-agency Westchester County narcotics task force.
A search warrant was served at 204 Washington Avenue by officers from the U.S. Drug Enforcement (DEA) Tactical Diversion Squad, Westchester County Heroin and Opioid Task Force, Westchester County Police Narcotics Unit, and the Yonkers Police Department. Ronnie Bordin, 60, was taken into custody at 12:30 p.m.
Bordin was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and three counts of Criminal Sale of Marijuana 4th Degree stemming from the joint investigation.
He was turned over to the Yonkers Police Department last night to await arraignment today in Yonkers City Court.
“Bordin’s drug delivery service was literally bringing drugs to front doors throughout Westchester County and New York City,” stated DEA Special Agent in Charge James Hunt. “Working with our law enforcement partners, we were able to arrest the head of this organization that was responsible for enabling drug use and abuse throughout our communities.”
“This investigation, which was launched based on information from the Drug Enforcement Administration, is another example of the tremendous partnership that exists between federal law enforcement and police departments in Westchester County. I would like to commend our Narcotics Unit and our federal and local partners in this investigation for bringing it to a successful conclusion,” said Acting Commissioner Martin McGlynn of the Westchester County Police.
Drug Enforcement Administration's Tactical Diversion (Group TDS-Westchester) comprised of agents and officers from the U.S. Drug Enforcement (DEA), Westchester County Police Department, Town of Orangetown Police Department, Rockland County Sheriff's Office, Yonkers Police Department, New Windsor Police Department, Putnam County Sheriff's Office and U.S. Health and Human Services.
